“If everyone gives a little, together we can make this world a better place.”
And that’s the truth. Why anyone would call the sweetest thing in the world ‘Rags’, can anyone guess? Raageshwari has been around the world and she looks none the worse for wear. An actress, singer, model and veejay, Raageshwari is a master of all performing, equally comfortable before a camera as she is in a recording studio as she is in a giant stadium full of her fans!

Versatile is her middle name. Her other pet name is Pashu! Raageshwari started early, making her silver screen debut while she was still in her teens. She acted in the movie Zidd in 1993. Although the film didn’t make big noises at the box-office, people noticed the perky little thing and pretty soon she was shooting for her next movie, Aankhen. That was a smash hit. Raageshwari tattooed her name on the Bollywood boulevard with Main Khiladi Tu Anari. Then she did a movie with Ravi Rai, the ace television director, Tum Jiyo Hazaro Saal. And then she sat back to think.

Raageshwari then took her love of people and her brilliant personality closer into your homes. The television world opened up its arms and welcomed her as producer, Sunil Sahjwani chose her to host BPL Oye for Channel [V]. Film’s sorry loss was television’s welcome gain as she fit right in and began to break hearts. Raageshwari’s family has always been very important to her. However, when her National Award winning composer dad, Trilok Loomba, played her a few tunes he had in his head, his little girl got a song in her heart. The result was a smash hit album called Duniya which breathed new life into Indi-pop. While Raags was making footprints on the sands of the music industry, her brother Rishab, shot her videos. The family support was to continue. She guested vocals on three songs in her dad’s album while he helped her write her sophomore release, Y2K. Performing live across the country and abroad, Raags’ instinct for music comes through whichever way she wants to play it. Singing, dancing, performing. She’s got what it takes to make a crowd go wild.

In the new wave of world music, ‘Sagari Rayn’ is a step in the right direction. Inspired from the age old Raag – ‘Raag Raam Kali’ the original melody is equally haunting as addictive. The video with the old world charm , is aimed to please the young and the veterans. Never seen before looks created by Rishabh Loomba in the video have already created quite a stir. A serious effort in changing the way Pop music is seen and perceived, this album consisting of 10 melodious and memorable tracks is a must buy.
